Universiti Brunei Darussalam is committed towards fostering strategic partnerships that advance academic and research excellence. The matter was shared during the Opening of the Conference jointly organised by the Brunei Darussalam Library Association. BLA with Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD. With the theme 'Access to Knowledge and Future Literacies: Moving Beyond Predictions', the three-day conference takes place at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.

Professor Doctor Haji Noor Azam bin Orang Kaya Maha Bijaya Haji Othman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of UBD in his speech also emphasised the importance of the programme in line with the keynote address titled 'Information and Knowledge Management in the AI Landscape' which emphasised the impact of the transformation of artificial intelligence, AI in the management and access of information. The conference will, among others, discuss the integration of AI in library services, digitisation and Islamic manuscripts. Held in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of the establishment of BLA, the conference also emphasised innovation, knowledge exchange and strategic management among participants.
